Mindfulness practice woven into each class.

Neuroscience research has proven that memory, focus and resilience are muscles that can be trained through mindfulness practice and through practicing these skills appropriately and according to one’s maturity and age.

Kind and happy humans

Everyday starts with a goal setting session: one academic and one social-emotional intention.

We would like to raise a community of compassionate, kind and confident human beings. We will use a social emotional learning curriculum to teach learners to resolve conflict and manage their own emotions.

Competent in academics

Advanced customized STEM and English programs, using world class proven curriculum. We use competency based learning, which allows children to “hurry slowly”, in Latin “Festina Lente”. It is based on a prerequisite model, where you have to show mastery before moving on to the next topic. Moreover, this model allows learners to group together according to their interests and mastery levels, instead of grade level.

With hands on experience

All lessons are accompanied by real life application examples and project based learning. Our cohort’s goal is not merely to gain knowledge, but also to be able to apply it skillfully. We will organize field trips to local science, business, governance organizations. Moreover, our learners will have an opportunity to present and test out their projects and products on annual student business fairs in Washington DC and Maryland.
